THE VERY FIRST PHOTOGRAPHIC COLORING BOOK: FARMERS MARKET

Inspired by her 35+ year practice and career of hand oil painting her illustrative, fiber-based B&W photographic prints, artist Judy B. Messer created Photographic Coloring Books to adapt her captivating practice into one that is easily accessible to other artists.

These books were envisioned and developed with the creative spirit in mind: to develop stronger technique, challenge approaches and perspectives, and inspire a more playful creative experience for all artists. Crafted with easily removable pages, you are encouraged to share your creative expressions with your family, friends and communities.

You’ll be coloring low-density, high key grayscale renderings of beautiful photographs by Judy B. Messer. Compositions are specially selected to help you practice developing more accurate techniques on color, density, shapes and perspective in your own creative practices. This beautiful and practical multimedia workbook is specially printed on fine art, watercolor paper that is also ideal for other coloring mediums such as colored pencils, pastels and more!

Judy’s Photographic Coloring Books are created with a unique fusion of paper and printing, so you can focus less on capturing the right composition and more on bringing each image to life through your personal lens.

Each grayscale photograph offers a well balanced compositional map, composed of shapes, values, lines and texture that train the artistic eye to see deeper into content and cultivate more refined discernment during the creative process.

Books are produced using easily removable fine art watercolor paper that is also ideal for colored pencils and pastels. Feel free to mix media or experiment with other media you desire as well!

The printing process is specially designed to allow an artist to slowly and deeply build their color of choice on a low-density, grayscale rendered photograph, all the while journeying into a beautiful storybook of serene destinations.
